Does this blog have a purpose any longer? I'd like to think so but none of the blogs I used to follow are still active. I'm on Facebook for family and friends and I am on Twitter for poetry. I am not much of a picture taking person so no Instagram. I'd still like a place for more personal thoughts. I don't post much like that on Facebook. So I will think about adding a more personal blog or re-purposing this one. Who knows?

Pictures of me...
So being inspired by my friend Jenna, I decided to try to take some "sexy" pictures of me. Here's Jenna:
What do ya think?
And here's me:

Yeah, it's been how long? Wow, time flies and it isn't like I don't have much to write. So maybe it is a suprise to everyone but I am not going to be married for very much longer. It will be a happy parting, at least as happy as these things can be. I'm looking forward to what the future brings...
In the last year, Alan earned his 2nd Dan black belt and Benjamin started playing the viola. I have school pictures to post:
and
Alan is currently a sophmore and Benny is in 6th grade.
I'm going to post now, I promise! I really do!

So much for the promise I made to keep this blog updated. Well, today is Alan's 15th birthday.
I think this photo was taken while he was in his school's recent production of Cinderella. I found it in the living room. He hasn't asked where it went.
Benjamin turned 11 in Jamuary. His cake featured a montage of these photos:

I'm not sure why the cub scout photo won't show correctly but anyway... I'll try to find the picture of the cake.
Here are the boys school photos for this school year (we didn't get spring photos):
Well, that'll have to do for this post. I won't promise but I will try to keep updating and not let this blog get so far behind!

Last year's school pictures
Well, I never seem to have time to get here. I figure I better post the kids' school pictures now that the school year is over! Alan turned 14(!!!) in May, Benjamin turned 10 in January.

Another lame post...
I can see that a few folks are actually checking my blog from time to time. Someone even has an alert (on Facebook even!) that tells them when a new post is made. Well, I haven't written that update I promised,
yet,
BUT I think I'll get to it someday.
Today I just logged on to add a cool new blog the the blogs I'm following (Manic Motherhood). There are some great posts about living with teenagers! So anyway, keep checking back from time to time and I PROMISE, I'll put the update in here soon!

Look, a post!
It'll be a quick post! Although I have so much to post from this summer, I am having trouble finding the time and getting the photos together to do it!
Today, I just wanted to say that hardly anyone posts on their blogs anymore. I think they are too busy with facebook. Which makes me pretty sad. Everyone who knows me knows I am very anti facebook. I just think that if you can't be friends with me because I am not on it, it's your loss. I'm sure I have some friends who love me even though I have chosen a facebook-free lifesyle. Right?
Buhler?
Buhler?
Anyone?

Where does the time go?
So I keep thinking that I will update the blog with all the things that have happened in the last few months. The last few months are now going on SIX! So I am going to list all the things I need to report on so you can look forward to someday getting the FULL report on them!
Two SCA events in September, one a big kingdom event held on my birthday and our anniversary. I don't think there are any pictures at all. I was too busy...
Also in September, I found out I had three herniated discs in my neck. I may have already mentioned that. It has really been a pain in the neck!
In October, Alan tested for his black belt in the martial art of Kyuki-do. It was the culmination of 7 years of training. (Way to go kid!)
I can't remember November. We did see our "Turtle" relatives for a secondary Thanksgiving dinner. We actually ate at Golden Corral on Turkey Day! You can get anything you want, not just dry old turkey!
December was the holiday month, I tried not to stress. We got our traditional tree cut from Ephraim Canyon. The boys wanted to name it, it became Claus. We went to an SCA event. We saw some relatives. I became an aunt for the first time from my brother Alan (baby girl Sydney, so cute!).
Benjamin tested for green belt in January. He'll test again this month. I hope he will continue so he can earn a black belt. He is not as motivated as Alan was.
February came and so did spring weather. We didn't have much of a winter this year. March is looking to be just as mild.
We have a lot of activities on the horizon and I'm feeling a bit better. I hope to finally get some photos and details posted for the above highlights but who knows when!
